I love photography, and I love capturing memories for people. I have recently turned a hobby into a small business with the help and encouragement of my wife and friends. My 'day' job is in Information Technology, so I need to fit my shooting around that - which usually works well for most people. I started down this path when my daughter was born, and it snowballed from there. The kids are always my 'subjects' as I explore new ideas.
Good images do not really depend on the camera, but on the photographer. However, some people are interested in the details, so I have included a description of my commonly used equipment. My primary camera is the Canon EOS 20D, digital SLR, coupled with a number of SanDisk CF memory cards as my 'digital film'. My main flash in the Canon 580ex. I use a number of different lenses, depending on the situation; they include a Tokina 12-24mm f4, a Canon 50mm f1.8, a Canon 28-105mm f3.5-f4.5, and a Canon 85mm f1.8 I also love to shoot black and white film, for this I use another Canon camera - the EOS Elan 7N. Black and white film has a certain character that is different from digital. This camera also acts a a backup in case anything should happen to my primary camera. My backup flash is a Canon 430ex. For additional light sculpting, I can add another Canon flash and Photoflex umbrellas.
